Some Recent History and Changes Made

What happened to our town?

Twenty years ago Sedona Oak Creek Unified School District was vibrant with two elementary and two middle schools and a full High School. Long story short, after the housing crisis in 2008, many families lost their homes, Short Term Rental companies purchased many of the homes and caused house prices to almost double, and in 2018 an elementary and middle school was forced to close due to low student population and less State funding to the district.

After a record numbers of forclosures is 2008, median home price in Sedona had been relatively stable, even with low inventory due to the influx of STRs, for roughly a decade. However, with the median home price climbing from $500k in 2020 to close to $995k in 2023, and rents climbing to 65% higher than the national median, it leaves many people, especially returning families without housing options. We see this as a community crisis, especially for those who work in Sedona and their families.

...and how we're changing things.

The company BCT Sedona Realty, LLC was started to invest in our community, rather than simply to invest in realestate. BCT specializes in economical housing.

BCT Sedona has purchased single family 2-3 bedroom homes, and 1-2 bedroom condominiums and apartments.

Our rentals are located in great locations in the Village of Oak Creek and in the City of Sedona. Single family homes in family friendly neighborhoods, and conveniently located apartments and condos all contribute to "bringing change to Sedona".

Living walking distance to work, with a variety of restaurants, and shops means convience for those in our uptown BCT properties.

These adjacent buildings on VanDeren Street was formerly a short term rental property named Sedonya Vacation Rentals. Now it's a BCT Sedona long term rental property, with 8 2BR apartments at rates much less than the general market offers.

The Future of BCT Sedona Realty LLC

Our plans include building multi-family housing from the ground up in West Sedona, right off of 89A. It is planned to have roughly 50 units of all sizes, and we are already working with the town planning board for approvals. This complex will be built with work force, professionals and families in mind. Stay tuned!
